& Entertainment News?
Sacramento Sports & Entertainment News (SSN) is a tabloid-sized newspaper published in the Sacramento, California area on a monthly basis. It is the sister publication to Sierra Ski News which has been published since the 1999-2000 season.

What’s in SSN?
We cover sports, recreation & entertainment from throughout Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Stockton & the Bay Area.

Who are the Publishers/Staff?
Joe Blenkle is the publisher, editor and photographer for SSN. He was sports, photo and entertainment editor of two weekly Sacramento-area newspapers for eight years and most recently was assistant editor of a monthly Sacramento-based general interest paper. In 2000 he began publishing a ski/snowboard newspaper called Sierra Ski News.

John Blenkle is SSN's chief photographer and has teamed with his brother Joe since 1989 covering sports in the Sacramento area.

Circulation
SSN is distributed through stores, restaurants and other locations of interest in the Sacramento area. Our current circulation is 5,000. As interest in the paper builds, so will our circulation.

Ad Formats
Our printer now takes our pages in digital format so all advertiser-submitted ads should be in high-quality .JPG, .TIF or .BMP format (at least 300dpi is preferred) so they can be inserted directly onto the page. Full page ads may be submitted in print quality .PDF format with a dimension of 10 3/16” wide x 16” high. PDFs are discouraged for anything smaller than full page ads as they will have to be converted back to one of the above mentioned formats on our end so we can insert them on the page. Ads may be sent on CD, disk or via email and should be in PC format. We are a black & white/grayscale only publication.

Color
After much consideration we have decided not to offer spot or full color in Sierra Ski News. The price from our printer is too restrictive for a publication our size. We are b/w-grayscale only. If there is an interest in color, we may re-examine offering it at a later time.

NOTE ON AD POSITIONING: While we will try our best to honor specific location requests for your ad, we can't always guarantee positioning. Full-page ads will have priority over smaller ads. Positioning requests will be honored in the order they are received.
